After a hectic month that has made time run away from me, it seems that Autumn is finally upon us and I am (as expected) not ready at all...
This weekend i swapped my summer clothing in my wardrobes for warmer items that i had stored away during my wardrobe clear out. I must admit I didn't expect to have the amount stored away that I did, but even more worrying- I didn't expect to feel so disappointed at the sight of them hanging back in my wardrobe. You know this means a shopping trip is calling...
I'm still super keen to purchase more classic pieces as i am feeling my personal style suits and gravitates these days towards more classic, minimal outfits that come with a nice cut for my petite figure and perhaps a small quirky twist to keep things modern.
The shops do seem to be taking a while to woo me with their autumnal offerings this year however I have spied the following pieces that I will be skipping off to the shops to purchase (once pay day hits of course).....

I have a pair of flat ASOS boots that I purchased at the start of my uni course which have been seriously loved. I don't intend to dispose of these very battered boots however I am in the market for another pair of ankle boots. These beauties are up there in terms of my lusting. I can see me throwing these on with denim and cashmere for autumn/winter days out or even teaming with a shirt dress and tights for a meal out. The heel looks small enough to not hurt my feet but also keeps things girlie. Money fairy needed please!

2. ASOS Denim
I've been hearing nothing but good things about the quality of ASOS offerings in the denim department recently. I do try to purchase bottoms that aren't made from Denim but, who am i kidding, I bloody love a good Jean. Jeans are so versatile, you can wear them out day or night by simply teaming with a new style of top. I can see me weraing these Jameson Jeggings with boots (cough ASH Boots cough) and a jumper or with a nice top and heels for the evening. The Kimmi Shruken Boyfriends have also seriously caught my eye- I love the idea of having a slim fit pair of jeans that have that laid back vibe that seems to be treading the Smart and Causal divide perfectly. Want.

Not one for slogan tees these days, this simple sweater keeps bringing a smile to my face. It would also look cool with a shirt collar underneath and maybe my electric blue pencil skirt for a fun casual Friday outfit for work.

I am really drawn to this golden hue. The chunky texture of the jumper also looks nothing short of inviting and I could see myself wearing this, a beanie hat, tight jeans, boots and sitting in a pub with a bottle of red. Winter cosiness eat your heart out.

Already an owner of 2 of these M&S cashmere jumpers (in black and beige) I just know it wont be long before I am adding a grey veriosn to my collection. These jumpers are such a great fit and quality that the £69 price tag just feels like a bargain. Seriously, go and invest in one- you'll never want to wear any other jumper again.

These Cami's have been everywhere this summer and I recently purchased myself one in black for nights out. I love that the Cami comes with adjustable straps (hooray for Petites everywhere) and this dark Green colour would go gorgeously with black denim for a night out.

I have been wearing this blouse in Yellow and Navy constantly throughout this summer. It goes so so well when tucked into a pencil skirt for work but also looks really nice with jeans and heels at the weekends. White would be a great investment, lets just hope they release this in Burgundy too.

Black, Minimial, Available in Petite. YES YES YES. I actually went to purchase this today however my local Topshop had sold out so now the race is on to bag this coat before it's too late. It's not the thickest coat in the world but as I prefer to layer my clothes in the winter, this won't stop this coat from being a well used item. The lack of hood also doesn't bother me as it means I can splash out on various colours of Beanie hats.

This hat is actually from the male department. Why do shops never offer female beanie hats that are baggy? This one will be perfect for beating the cold this winter, plus it's in a great colour that suits my hair tone and will go with everything I own (plus The Boy will be more than thrilled that I won't be borrowing his all the time).

Tartan and checks are everywhere this season, as expected. I however can never decide whether i actually like the pattern and so end up purchasing block colours. I spied this super soft scarf in Zara and haven't really stopped thinking about it since. I love the fact it features all the colours I will be wearing this AW and the overall rust tone means it will look amazing with black! Gimmie, Gimmie. Gimmie.
Well, penning this post has certainly made me feel more autumnal. Lets hops the cold weather doesn't hurry itself too much to arrive- this girls got some shopping to do!
Lots of Love
