Forever 21 purchases Dec 2011

Thanks to a wonderful online blogger/internet friend of mine, Sarah (the mastermind behind this blog here) I finally discovered what exactly Forever 21 was all about. And boy was i glad i did!

Newly opened on Oxford Street this year (near footlocker), I have not stopped seeing young girls with bright pink bags parading around the area. So one particularly dreary London day, i decided to go and check it out in person.

The best way to describe the store and its items is Topshop meets New Look with a similar vibe as H&M. The prices are unbelievable- dresses for around £18, jumpers for £15, shoes for around £18 and the accessories... well how i managed to visit and not buy a single item is a complete mystery to me (£4 for necklaces, anyone?)...

Here is what i bought..

Latte/Nude platform shoes - £18.67

The hunt for the perfect LBD....

Now i am a fully fledged Londoner, Really dont know what all the hoo-ha is regarding the whole 'first time moving out of the parentals' is all about.. absolutely loving it!

So its the last day of November, and Christmas is very much on the forefront of my mind. I even have a posh christmas do to get excited for this year (after 3 years without!) and this has me on the hunt for that classic piece of clothing that all us girlies endeavour to have in our wardrobe... the LBD.

My must haves for AW11 part 1

Every year, about this time, I decide on a few items that I will then continue to hunt down until they are in my possession. Sometimes (usually) I fail, and other times I end up with at least one.

So, my items on this years list are:

The red dress....

Red is massive this season! Usually its a colour that i steer clear of (any sign of a red pimple is amplified when i wear red, to the point that i might as well wear a sign pointing out the damn thing!) but this year I'm putting my usual concerns to one side and going for it (plus it makes my olive toned skin pop which I LOVE).

Due to being what the shops would term 'petite' (makes me sound like one of those pastries you get at afternoon tea, but whatever 5 foot 1 and proud i remain) AND blessed with a hourglass figure, I have to be careful what style I go for so i don't end up looking like I'm wearing a tomato costume... here are current contenders:
Embellished sleeve dress - £85 - Topshop

Work Wear purchasing.... October 2011

Why has it been so long since I last blogged, I hear you ask? Well. I got a job as a Dietetic Assistant and secured a beautiful flat in East London. Proof for any of you newly-graduated students out there, that you can get a job in this ghastly reccession.

New job means new work wear. Somehow i dont think my scrubby old black trousers and basic tees are going to reflect 'smart casual serious professional' so... I went shopping.

I set myself a challenge to spend no more than £70 on my new workwear, because as i get used to the job I might need to alter what i wear to perform better at work (I dont care what men say I am a great believer in what you work in affects how you approach and cope in the workplace).

Thank god for H&M and New Look....heres what i chose:

TTN Visits: Real Food Festival, Southbank, London

So, the Real Food Festival took place along the whole of southbank on the weekend of 23rd-25th September and boy am I glad it did! three words: Ultimate. Hangover. Remedy.

The Boy and I dragged our Rum soaked bodies out of bed and went in search of anything that might fix our rum-ache.

We ended up in Southbank, and was greeted by this glorious sight:

TTN Visits: Pitt Cue Company, Southbank & Bills Restaurant, Covent Garden

After what feels like months (but actually was only a few weeks) The Boy finally allowed me to indulge my inner foodie and drag him around London in search of something to tantalise my taste buds....

First stop: Pit Cue Company

Glossy Box vs Boudoir Prive..

Okay, so I don't pretend to be a beauty pro but I do admit to being a sucker for samples and receiving anything in the post that is not a bill or the local free paper. So when (via twitter) I found out about Glossy Box beauty boxes I immediately signed myself up, then after a few months another similar concept, Boudoir prive, was launched and so i thought 'why the hell not?' and signed up to that too.

River Island AW11...

Due to general craziness of my life at present I haven't had much time to wine and dine myself in the Capital. I have, however, had the time to do some online browsing to compile my AW shopping list (note the word BROWSING is used, boo)....

Now, being a curvaceous woman (er, hello, I do actually EAT food in case you hadn't already guessed) my natural curves limit me to what I can wear without either a) making myself look like Ten Tonne Tess or b) like i belong in the circus. This usually means that I am also limited to what high street shops I should even bother to look in as they all cut their clothes slightly differently to each other - regardless of them insisting that they use the same templates.

River Island is generally NOT a shop I can shop in. Don't get me wrong, in the past I have managed to find the odd item that looks nice on but their clothes are usually far too tight (think of sausages and that's what my legs look like in their jeans) and up until my student discount card expired last month *sob* I generally gave this place a miss to save my purse 10%. But, I am very much impressed with many items from their latest fashion 'drop' and for the first time since my young teenage years I am anxious for pay day so I can make a purchase from RI

Here are the two items i most certainly will be snapping up in preparation for the colder months...

My lust list July 2011

I hate the winter months. I hate the freezing temperatures. I hate the icy winds. I hate the need to eat anything so long as its covered in Gravy and served with Potatos. I hate the dark mornings and the early evenings. And i hate the fact that a crisp cold glass of wine just isnt the same when the weather is not warm and sunny.

To be honest, if it wasnt for the fashion industry providing me with a gorgeous choice of clothes that i can snuggle in to and keep out the warm- I would make like a goose and fly south for the winter!

So, this is my current lust list that i am having to use a whole lot of will power to not buy....

'Andre' Boots £68 - Topshop

Love these... team with anything from skirts and tights to jeans, capri trousers or maxi skirts

'Jive' Patent Pumps £55- Topshop

Sensible heels that are so so cute. The Nude colour will go with anything!

Pink Wool mix Capri trousers £60 - Topshop Premium
Beautiful colour. Add black and gold for a night out or other muted tones for a demure sophis day time look
Studio Top £39.99 - Zara
Love the structured look of this top... can be dressed down with jeans and pumps or up with lots of jewellery and a pencil skirt
Oxblood formal skinny capri cigarette trouser £38 - Topshop
Love this colour. Its rich and perfect on any skin tone. Add wedge boots or pumps and a see through black shirt would make this look incredible. Day or night.

Nude Waterfall Crop jacket £60 - Topshop
This is a all-year-round jacket. Perfect for us petite girlies, and can be worn to the office or to the pub!

Grey studio top £39.99 - Zara
Love this. Simple structuring that will go from day to night just by adding heels and lots of chunky jewellery
Blue Tulip dress £69.99 - Zara
I have this in floral, and i am seriously contemplating buying this to see me through the winter partying season. I am loving zaras dresses right now. They look far more expensive than they actually are.

Powder Beige Midi Skirt £19.99 - H&M
Beautiful. Team with wedge boots, tights, cropped jumper and skinny belt to look like a lady!

The day i became part of the Mulberry Club....

It started off on a dreary London day, a day where i wasn't feeling well and just wanted to remain in my PJs with a bucket of tea. After much persuastion by The Boy, we got up and ventured into the west end. After wandering round and round we ended up on Bond Street and before i knew it- we were standing outside the Mulberry Store....The rest they say is History...

I chose the Mulberry Daria Hobo in Black leather. I chose it because its practical and comfortably sits under my arm, and I can use it from day to night- from office (fingers crossed i get a job) to the bar. I am in love.

Lovebox 2011

On the 17th July, I broke my festival virginity and attended the third and final day of East Londons Lovebox festival. Boy, was it a great first experience!

Gimmie a 2.... gimmie a 1....what does it spell???

So, last week i found out that i am graduating from Roehampton University, London with a 2:1 in BSc (Hons) Nutrition.... meaning that I am a registered nutritionist!!! (hoooorraaaay)
COMPLETELY ambushed as we were not told when results day was. I in fact was hanging around on a weekday for the arrival of some very sexy iris coloured Hunter wellington boots that had been brought for me and were due to arrive that day.

I am so so proud of myself, which is a rare feeling. I did not expect the 2:1 at all, and upon reading the result i burst in to a lengthy hour-long sob fest which was not great for my skin and has resulted in a breakout.

So... graduation day is 2 weeks away and there is only one question on my mind..... What to wear???

Shift dresses are out of the question for me, as all the ones in my price range are not good for someone with an hourglass figure and will draw attention to (now only slight thanks to the gym) tummy area. I have heard that to make it easy to attach the hood of the gown, shirts with top buttons are advised (groan).

Currently I am most definitely wearing my black pencil skirt. I have two in my wardrobe- one that's a bit more sexy for sophisticated evening outfits, and one that is for the office. It was £20 from good old marks and sparks, is made of a lined jersey and has the cutest box-cut fish-tail detail at the back. Nice and conservative (don't want to give those old professors a heart attack now, do we?).

But what shirt????
Reiss Morgan IN THE PRESS...

I did see this beauty in white in the Reiss sale... it was originally £110 and now is £88. However the white has sold out (boo) and as much as i love electric blue and it does make me look tanned, I'm really not sure i should go for it in this colour for fear of being TOO bold....

White Self Stripe Ellie 3/4 Sleeve Button Cuff Shirt - 37158

Then there's good old TM Lewin... this is £25 in the sale... but although its a safe bet...HOW much do i want to look like a waitress???? It doesn't reflect my personality and its bad enough that I'll be in a ridiculous black dowdy gown ( even though the hat's pretty cool) all day.
Image 1 of ASOS Short Sleeve Pussybow Cotton Blouse
Asos do a really cute pussy-bow style shirt... It is a little more me as I like to add a little quirky twist to a outfit. But then.. no top button!! This one is £12 and very much in my price range.

Yes i know... 'what about the footwear?' I hear you ask.....I have 35 pairs of shoes in my wardrobe, so I'm sure ill find something suitable.... however that's not stopping me from heading to London this weekend to check out the sales and shops... you know- just in case i find pair number 33 ;).
I am going to go with a closed toe option, one with a height as I am 5 foot 1"- but not too much (in case i trip up on the way up the stage- just the thought has me cringe-ing). However kitten heels,I believe, are reserved to the office environment only so whatever pair i choose the heel wont be that low!

Exciting times.... and I have a few weekends of very exciting social engagements. Don't worry- I will be blogging them ALL!

Hope all you other graduates out there are proud of yourselves... we are the recession students and yet we have made it through so a massive pat on the back to us! Have a lovely graduation day and don't forget to eat some protein (carbs will make your face bloat, very bad for photos) to keep you going, fainting and pale faces are not nice- plus its a waste of champagne.

Lots of love

Keeeeeeeeeenwaaaaaaaaaaaa (formerly known as Quinoa)

So, Its the summer. We've all spent endless months toiling away with diet after diet. Struggling to the gym to get our workouts done. Then one day- when it didnt rain for a whole day.. the smell of that bitter-sweet smoke drifts across your garden. Yes... its BBQ season.

Okay, so i know that today its been horrendous thunderstorms... but it has been a hot weekend and not the last one we will see I'm sure.

The BBQ... bread, salad dressings, fatty burgers and sausages (well it is what makes them taste sooo damn good), the buttery corn-on-the-cob, the cheese on the burgers, the glorious potatoes... okay, you get the picture. But what about all that high protein, no carbs, low fat, high fibre, no fun diet you've been on since march?? Do not worry... I have a little secret to share with you all that might help you to keep that protein high...

Raw Quinoa

The day i got a Manolo Blahnik ... or Accessories make the outfit...

Yes people, you did read that title correctly.. huzzah! A Manolo in my closet. A Manolo Blahnik for Liberty London to be precise... and here she is (drum roll please):

                                                                Isn't she ADORABLE???

Foundation,, more like AMAZING!!!

The Boy turns the ripe age of 24 years this month and a group of us went out for some cocktailing in London. I had read about Foundation ( located just off Covent Garden and decided that should be out port of call after a large Mexican feast....

TTN Visits: Polpo, Soho

So i realised that i have still not written up my piece regarding my slightly mixed up visit to Polpo ( Although it is yet another fabulous food offering from Norman & Beatty, it was not the intended place to fill my stomach. I had intended to visit their very new restaurant DA polpo... (see what they did there). Thankfully it was not a regret in the slightest and other customers also got slightly confused and had ended up there.

So Polpo (meaning Octopus in Italian) can be located just at the end of Carnaby Street. Go past American Apparel and turn left.

TTN Visits: The Breakfast Club, Spitalfields

So its midday on a Sunday, and with empty bellies The Boy and I went in search of something decidedly HUGE to fill the holes inside our stomachs. Dont get me wrong, Canteen is incredible but portions are a bit on the stingy side.

TTN Visits: Sputinos, McQueens & Wahaca aka 'The adventures of my Bank holiday mouth'

Oh my... my ever growing love for the culinary delights offered by London continues to grow after the bank holiday of 22nd - 25th April....Let me tell you the tale of my adventures....

So Thursday Evening- after getting my dissertation bound and submitted I went to meet The Boy for food and so began my food adventure...

TTN Visits: Canteen, Spitalfields

Sorry sorry for my complete neglect to this blog... Dissertation has taken over my life!

I have officially started back at the gym... keeping my weight at a nice 9 stone 10 minus any dieting... its all about the interval training on the bike at the moment! And for those of you wondering what happened to my meat-eating quest...Dukan was great.. whilst it lasted.. but we just weren't meant to be... summer is all about BBQs with lush salads and fruit cocktails, not morbidly eating meat until you get fed up and go to bed to avoid any more food and people then think you are being rude...ANYWAY......

There is one restaurant near where The Boy lives, in Spitalfields... Its called Canteen. Everyone must go. The have a 2 courses for £10 menu on every day until 7pm, and my lord, it really is British food at its best.

Make up Miracle... well not quite but I am impressed!

Okay so, being a part time worker and a student.. and with a tad bit of a shopping addiction... Money tends to leave my account as quick as it enters. Therefore... this month a terrible thing happened...(no, not running out of money)... my MAC foundation RAN OUT!!!

I could of cried... not that i didnt see it coming- the bottom had been visible for a while but i thought i could use a foundation brush to maximise its longevity. Clearly that bright idea didnt work!

So there I am, in town, well aware that I have a night out in London to look my very best for..They dont sell MAC near me. So yeah, i did panic...

BUT... all was not lost- I remembered an advert i saw for a foundation with camomile and cotton and seeing as i few blemishes were appearing I knew it just might work...

This beauty is £5.99 and its give full coverage. Its Talc free and oil free... so no risk of aggrevating skin. I was dubious at the whole 'stay matte' concept- maybe it would dry my skin? (which is horrendously comination).. no need to worry. Its amazing- feels light on my skin and doesnt transfer which avoids that cringe moments after a joyful hug when you panic at the thought of half your face being left behind!
I also was impressed at the range of shades this foundation came in... i hate these make up sections which assume you either are every shade of white and thats about all they offer. Oh and the cotton and camomile did settle my blemishes :D

Girls- especially you  lovelies on a budget... Buy this. You will not regret it. Its in a small container which is perfect to fit in your clutch on a night out for any last minute touch ups!

Yay for bargains!!!

Day 8: Welcome back to Dukanland

Okay so yesterday in the glorious Surrey Sunshine, me and a group of friends (including a very cute Patterdale Terrier called Patsy) went for a walk on the Downes... walked from Reigate to Mogador where we stopped at this gorgeous pub called The Sportsman (a must if you are ever in Surrey). I had a burger... BUT before you gasp at the horror of the anti-Dukanism... I took the break off.. and some of the cheese and munch on the salad minus the chips. Really filled me up and definitely what i needed to refuel.

Day 5: Derailed!! (late post)... and a bit of Day 6...

Weight on Day 4: 9 Stone 9lbs
Weight on Day 5: 9 stone 8lbs

Wow... I really didnt expect to see weight loss after the alcohol consumed yesterday. It has made me realise how much weight alcohol makes you gain though... I mean I always knew that it was empty calories but when you are daily weighing yourself its a real shock!!(see the photo of Gorgeous Dorking in Surrey.. really amazingly beautiful place)....

Thursday, 7 April 2011

Day 4: Meat eatin'

Weight on day 3: 9 stone 11lbs
Weight today (at 10:30): 9 stone 9lbs :D

So Mr Pierre Dukan has completely amazed me. Another 2lbs lost. Genious. Its propelled me further in to wanting to loose that 9lbs by the summer.

2 tbsp Oat Bran
2 tbsp Onken Natural yogurt (fat free)
1tbsp Activia Natural pouring yogurt
1 tsp Agave Nectar (need some sort of taste first thing)
Tea with skimmed milk

Packet of chicken (sweet chill flavoured)
2tsp Reduced Fat Soured Cream
250ml mini bottle of Diet Coke
1 Pint water
2 tsps of sugar free strawberry jelly
Sorry for the gross looking photo - I was halfway through my munching and realised i didnt show you guys what I had eaten!! My mother would die if she knew i hadn't used a bowl but I was hungry and I thought it would save the washing up ;)

Lots of sunbathing today. Decided to have a chilled day. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Its nice to listen to music and just chill out

Exercise: 40 minute walk to and from town. (make up was needed for the meal)

Okay so bearing in mind I havent seen these people in 6 months and the resturant had NO GRILL MENU i decided on

Grilled chicken salad with a crumble of goats cheese and balsamic glaze.
2 glasses of prosecco
1 small glass of rose
2 glasses of water
1 thin slice of chocolate cake
1 strawberry

I think i did really well. The people i went out with (potential future in laws) like to drink and usually i consume half a bottle of wine minimum with them during a meal.
I really felt stuffed after the salad, which shows how much this diet has shrunk my stomach. I knew i would drink tonight because ... well... its rude not to.

I am hoping that my naughty alcohol consumption hasnt affected my weight loss. But if it has then at least i had a good time and it was worth straying. I hate it when you are on a diet and you end up eating things absent mindedly or just because.

Tomorrow I am on a big night out in London with sharing platters and happy hours kicking the night off. I think that if i stay away from bready items and maybe have the meat and olives is better than white carbs.
Oh well, it is the summer and the fact ive lost 6lbs in 3 days is amazing. I want to have fun still and not be affected by this diet because i am young and i dont want to miss out by being anal with the rules.

Fingers crossed again- would love to have lost 1lb tomorrow at least.

Lots of love

Day 3: Attack!!

Weight on day 2: 10stone 0lbs
Weight on day 3: 9 stone 11lbs!!!!

Seriously cannot believe it! Being hypothyroid, the fact that in 2 days i have lost 4lbs in weight is totally astounding. Feeling really motivated and apart from a few hunger pangs at night, generally feeling 'balanced'.

Not many pictures for you guys today. I have been busy busy with coursework and then treated my stressed self to a sunbathing session in my gorgeous local park which was a definite boost. I had an ice cold diet coke on hand and i really felt relaxed.

1.5 TABLESPOONS Oat Bran (not teaspoons as i first thought, d'oh)
3 tablespoons of natural yoghurt
1 tablespoon of Activia low fat pouring yoghurt.
Tea with skimmed milk
1 tsp of agave nectar(naught but i hate synthetic sweetner that he advises and this is Low GI)
250 ml of tap water

80g Packet of chicken slices (the kind you buy for easy sandwich fillings)
1 pint tap water

1/2 spatchcock chicken.. skin was marianted in chilli and honey but i didnt eat that bit so still good :)
1 tsp of soured cream a chive dip (reduced fat)

I figured the soured cream and chive dip was similar to the natural yoghurt ive been having and a teaspoon isnt going to change much. Really impressed with my will power not to have coleslaw or salad tonight.

Snacks: 3 seafoods sticks, 1 Rosehip & Hibiscus tea (something sweet), 250 ml of diet coke, 1 litre of water, and a chilled low fat latte brought from the supermarket (again not sure if thats allowed but it wasnt sweetned so it should be okay).

Exercise: 20 minute walk around the shops to get food, presents for tomorrow and a general mooch. I know its not that physical but hey- i have done something ;)

Today i have been relativley lenient on a few items but i havent actually felt the need to snack on the very naughty things. I feel satisfied in my stomach to not eat or want that anything sugary as i hate that horrible sugar high-then-crashing-low that you get when you eat a choccie bar or an ice cream.

Tomorrow should be interesting,in thise sunny weather I am really craving a cocktail and strangley enough (besides salad) Olives and Advocados! But I think that if i avoid Olive-Advocado eating eating, and choose a slimline vodka and tonic or Prosecco I will be alright!

Fingers crossed for another 2lb loss tomorrow. Really would love to have lost nearly half a stone this week. Any loss will spurr me on to stick with the Dukan. The cruise phase will be interesting so I think Im going to follow it for 3 days then have 3 days Pure protein before adopting the 1:1 ratio.

Saw some gorgeous summer ball dresses for end of May in Grazia today. The one i have my eye on has parts cut out of the torso and it would be amazing to think that in 6 weeks i might actually be able to wear something more revealing and not look like black pudding!

Also got my daily dose of vitamin D today - you only need 15 minutes on the back of your wrist to get your GDA however 2 hours of sunbathing has made me feel spritely :D. Dont forget your SPF people- premature wrinkles cannot be accessoried!

Stay gorgeous and keep those fingers crossed!!

'Oh I wish I was a Punk Rocker with flowers in my hair'.. Great song

So, because this blog isn't all about the dieting, I thought i would show you all my wonderful bargainous purchase from my beloved Spitalfields market in East London.

If you are unfamiliar with this wonderland then please- go. (nearest tubes are Aldgate, Aldgate East and Liverpool Street) here is the website for futher

Anyway, seeing as the theme of Ballet/Romance is all over the shops and is a huge trend this SS11, I have noticed that flowers are popping up everywhere from corsages to rings.

I love the whole idea of dressing in a gorgeous nude palette however, even though i am olive skinned, many of the colours just do not suit. So I rely on accessories to girlie up the colours that i can wear from this colour palette (whites and pinks).

I got this absolute BEAUT from a stall called 'The Naked Goat' and at £3 for one or £5 for 2 I couldn't turn this purchase down. I picked the pink rose garland however there were roses, lillies and daisies in all colours to choose from. I wore it with a bright pink chiffon top, back harreems, flipflops and a light denim jacket (it was one of those rare hot days we have been getting this month); I recieved so many compliements and because it is so light I forgot it was on my head. Not bad for £3!

The stall also sells beautiful cobweb wool scarves that make gorgeous gifts for £10. I brought my mum one for mothers day in a champagne colour and it went down a storm... i will be borrowing it from time to time!

Moral of the story: Go to spitalfields

xxx TTN xxx

Day 2: Attack phase indeed........

So, last night i felt hungry. Not sure if it was the Diet coke that made my appetite shoot up or the general protein consumption.. BUT all that rumbling was worth it and paid off because:

Weight yesterday at 10:30 am: 10 stone 2lbs
Weight today at 10:30 am: 10 stone 0lbs!!!

So So pleased. This has definitely given me the motivation to keep it up. Offers to go to the pub today have been turned down as i dont want the temptation. I have a birthday meal to attend  on Thursday so that will be a minefeild to navigate through however i have decided that i will settle on steak or chicken and salad with one glass of prossecco to toast the birthday girl (only 80 calories a glass).

Seeing as I woke up late my diet today consisted of....

Day 1: Dukan Diet Dukanation

Okay, so as promised, I have begun my journery to lose weight and stay thin forever!
General feeling of uncertainty surrounding the whole eating-only-meat-for-5-days-straight  thing but with the help of Vitabiotics vitamin supplements i am hoping to avoid any vitamin dieficencies and general horribleness associated with lack of fibre in the diet.

Current weight at 10:30am: 10stone 2 pounds - which i know is heavy but its not that bad considering i have done no exercise for 6 weeks, and been living on a diet of resturant food, wine, stress and cake. My BMI is 24.9 (which to be honest is horrendous as i am boarderline healthy weight)

Goal weight: 9 stone (anything less is a major bonus) bringing my BMI down to a lovely 22.1.
Usually i am not a huge fan of relying on the BMI score as it doesnt seperate fat from muscle weight. But seeing as this diet doesnt need portion control or calorie counts i guess anything goes...

Breakfast: 1/4 tub of onken fat free probiotic natural yoghurt (mixed with some low fat probiotic)
2 tsp of oat bran (brought from holland and barrett)
Mug of tea with skimmed milk (and none of my beloved agave nectar) :(

I have read how nasty this mix of bran and yoghurt tastes but actually i quite enjoyed it. It really filled me up and the lack of sugar left me without that horrible furry sensation you feel when you have sugar in your tea or cereals. Boring as it is, it has def has dulled my tastebuds (win).

Lunch: 10 seafood sticks
             Rosehip and Hibiscus tea
            1 pint of tap water

Dinner: Spatchcock Pouisson oven roasted and skin then taken off.   Outer wings not eaten.
               1 pint of tap water
White tea- avoids the disspointing taste of tea without sugar.

One thing i noticed was hard for me, was in our fridge we have some gorgeous innocent orange juice and a huge punnet of fresh rasberries. Both are favourite things for me to snack on, and both are forbidden :( I am a huge fan of fruit and veg so this 'attack' phase is going to be frustrating as our fridge is always full of lovely 5 a day items.

Exercise: 40 minute walk to Reigate, where i had 1 pint of diet coke in the pub with a friend. Diet coke is allowed due to its addition of a sweetner called Aspartame which is drived from pith (the white stuff you usually remove from orange segments before eating- fun fact for you).

Day 2 of 4 begins tomorrow. I have just been invited to dinner in 4 days time so i think i will have to do a bit of protein and veggie mixing because i will get some odd looks at the table if i just order meat.

Stay fabulous

Hello!... (is it me you're looking for...)

Wow! I cannot believe i actually managed to create one of these Blog things all by myself (pat on the back to me)...So what is this 'Trendy Nutritionist' all about i hear you enquire?.....Basically, I am a Nutrition student.. well i will be until May 2011 when the degree ends and I become an accredited nutritionist (oooo).... and seeing that I am one who likes to talk talk talk, and have a serious interest in food and fashion, this blog thing seemed like an amazing idea.

My blog will be full of general nutrition/food adventures of mine as well as the odd fashion related post thrown in for good measure (alothough i do not pretend to be A.Wintour so my rambles may just be exactly that- a ramble). I am also hoping to take you guys through my diets that I have a crack at through the year (the first being the intense Dukan diet- TBC). Maybe with some photographical evidence thrown in for good measure!

A bit about the Blogger: Champagne taste, Beer money (although i tend to buy the champagne anyway)... Love London, Sunbathing, Taking photos, Aztec History, Vintage, Mascara, Assam Tea,Cocktails, Shoes (they ALWAYS fit) and Liberty prints.

So... Thanks for reading. I have never done this before, so bear with me and I am sure this will be all worth our time! :)
