TTN Visits: Blacklock, Soho

It doesn't take long to sense a buzz around something foodie related in London. When i started to spot tweets buzzing about amazing Chops in Soho, I knew it wouldn't be long before I paid the basement at 24 Great Windmill Street a visit, and what better time than over a long Bank Holiday weekend?

TTN Visits: Voglia Di Pizza, Rome

Eating Gluten Free in Rome was not as easy as i expected. Okay, so I am known for romanticising everything but I did expect every shop to be able to offer me an abundance of Gluten free goodies seeing as Italians are renowned for their love of food. If you are a big pasta eater, and yet need to live Gluten free, then you will have no problem finding a bowl of gluten free Pasta to feast on. I haven't ever been a big Pasta eater so although grateful, was a little deflated. My real weakness is Pizza and boy was I happy to stumble upon little Voglia Di Pizza in San'Eustachio region of Rome..

Keeeeeeeeeenwaaaaaaaaaaaa (formerly known as Quinoa)

So, Its the summer. We've all spent endless months toiling away with diet after diet. Struggling to the gym to get our workouts done. Then one day- when it didnt rain for a whole day.. the smell of that bitter-sweet smoke drifts across your garden. Yes... its BBQ season.

Okay, so i know that today its been horrendous thunderstorms... but it has been a hot weekend and not the last one we will see I'm sure.

The BBQ... bread, salad dressings, fatty burgers and sausages (well it is what makes them taste sooo damn good), the buttery corn-on-the-cob, the cheese on the burgers, the glorious potatoes... okay, you get the picture. But what about all that high protein, no carbs, low fat, high fibre, no fun diet you've been on since march?? Do not worry... I have a little secret to share with you all that might help you to keep that protein high...
