TTN Visits: Bookstock 2011

I cannot believe i forgot to blog about this street party....

The Book Club (you can see what its all about here) based in Hoxton is admittedly still on a my list to actually pop in for a drink, but a few weeks back we discovered that they were holding a street party that was free to get in to. With nothing much going on and still yearning for music festivals that we missed out on this year  we (the Boy and I) decided to check it out tempted by the promise of cider and live music.

It was a great way to spend a few hours. Little Boots performed a great DJ set in a small car park, and we discovered a band called 'Brass Roots' who used a variety of instruments to play chart topping songs (my favourite had to be their rendition of Beyonces 'Single Ladies, it got everyone dancing).

We enjoyed a gorgeous fresh Hallomi and Greek salad wrap for brunch and washed it down with a few 'Ginger Joe' beers.

I am hoping this event is a annual thing as it was a great venue to people watch (love the eclectic mix of fashions going on in East London.. Doc Marten wearers hanging out with men wear spats is great to see and it was also a refreshing change to be able to drink in the daytime with a bunch of strangers and not feel that any issues were going to kick off.

It only cements my belief that London really is the best place to be!

Lots of Love
